- Fabric & Care
At 12oz, this medium weight organic cotton denim woven by Berto in Italy is soft yet durable, and just the right weight to be able to wear all year round. It’s a true workhorse fabric. And this denim is not shy of character either. It will only get better with age.
As the name suggests, our light vintage wash was inspired by the fades, character and hues of vintage denim jackets from the 50’s and 60’s. This is achieved through a delicate wash and precise hand fading process, meaning no two jackets are identical.
When the times comes to wash your jacket, we recommend hand washing, and then hang to dry. If needed, iron or steam inside out to remove creases.

We ship all over the world. And if you’re based in the EU, we will be sending your jacket directly from Portugal so that you won’t incur additional customs fees. All other jackets will be sent from the UK.

THE CARPENTER JACKET
Our seven pocket Carpenter jacket is inspired by the workwear that was designed to protect workers during the California Gold Rush in the mid 1800’s. Clothing designed at the time was functional, sturdy and reliable day after day. Unlike most clothing produced nowadays, those pieces were designed to stand the test of time. This boom time in America was sparked by one man. He wasn’t a mining mogul. He wasn’t even looking for gold. His name was James W. Marshall - a carpenter building a saw mill in the Sacramento Valley. It was there he discovered flakes of gold in the American River. Word quickly spread of his find. And the rest is history.

A TRUE BLUE CLASSIC
The fabric for our denim Carpenter Jacket comes from Berto, Italy’s premium denim mill based just outside of Venice, Italy. The mill opened in 1887 making tough sail cloth fabrics for boats that harboured in Venice. In the mid 1900’s they began weaving hardwearing workwear fabrics. Today, they have have combined their workwear heritage and 135 years of constant innovation to produce premium denim fabrics that are long lasting, easy to wear and get better with time.
