The number one reason any piece of clothing becomes your favourite is because it fits you like a glove. That’s why we spend so much time working on it.

The fit for this jacket is boxier than Batch No.1 and No.2. But with the side cinches, you can pull in the shape to get the slim fit most of you know and love.

The jacket fits true to size. We recommend taking your normal size. If you're in between sizes, size up. If you like to wear a lot of layers under your jacket, we recommend sizing up.

Available in XS-XXL.

To find your fit and more sizing tips, check out our sizing page.

The Field Jacket is made from a lightweight but hard-wearing herringbone twill fabric. Perfect for the warmer months of the year. And great for layering in the cooler times too.

The fabric has been woven for us in Portugal, only a few hundred meters from the factory where our jackets are made, keeping our footprint small.

Each jacket is garment dyed to give it a worn-in look and feel.

You can go a while without having to wash your jacket. Save water. Spot clean when necessary. Wash inside out at 30. Wash with similar colours. Choose the lowest spin speed. Hang dry. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron inside out, or if you’ve got a steamer, go for it, but again inside out.
Each jacket is made to order. We will be shipping from late March 2020. Depending on where you live, your jacket will arrive within 1 - 5 days via DPD.

Once your jacket is dispatched, you'll receive an email confirming the due date, and tracking details. As well as the shipping updates, we'll be sharing the behind the scenes making of your jacket, so you'll know where it’s up to at every stage of the process.

VEGETABLE IVORY

Button-making in the UK is a centuries-old craft and the reputation of its makers is widespread. Our buttons are not only British Made, but they are made from corozo nuts that are grown in the Ecuadorian rainforest. Corozo is good for the planet. Unlike plastic, our buttons are non-toxic and biodegradable.

LIMITED EDITION

Each batch of jackets comes with a limited edition label inside illustrated by a new artist each time. This label is all about celebrating the people heind our jackets. The label has been illustrated by Ilya Milstein.

THE CALIFORNIA OF EUROPE

Our jackets are hand made in a factory nestled away on a mountain side in Guimarães, Portugal. It’s a maker town. The factory is a small family run business that has been going for the last 30 years, specialising in jackets. They have a track record for supporting the underdogs. We’re proud to have our jackets made by them.

MILITARY STYLE, REFINED

The Field Jacket is a style that has not only survived wars but fashion trends.

Because of what the jackets had to go through, it's some of the best-designed clothing ever made.

For our Field Jacket, we stripped away all the unnecessary details, keeping only what was essential. The result is a timeless, functional piece that we turn to, day in day out.

STYLE GUIDE

Over the last 9 months we’ve been experimenting with different ways to wear The Field Jacket. Dressing it up and down. In good weather and bad. We found a lot of ways to wear it. But we wanted to know how others would wear it too. So we asked our well-dressed friends to put together outfits for The Field Jacket.

We’ve enjoyed seeing how photographers, artists, trend forecasters, musicians, spoon carvers, chefs, and entrepreneurs would wear it. It’s just as versatile as we’d hoped.
