Notes
The Six Mile Tee was our first Paynter Experiment, looking at how to reduce the environmental impact of a classic black tee.Ā The result is a heavyweight white teeĀ that's knitted, cut and sewn within six miles in Northern Portugal. Shipping from 4th of July.

Fabric & Care
The fabric we chose is a jet black, 250gsm heavyweight knitted jersey, made from a soft 100% organic cotton. Using a heavier fabric means that the T-shirt will age better, last longer, and hold its shape well, even after plenty of washing. And to make sure the T-shirt doesn't shrink or change shape after washing, we've given it a pre-wash so it fits and feels just right from day one. Wash at 30āC. Do not tumble dry. Iron inside out.

Fit
Cut for a regular fit that will feel familiar as soon as you put it on. Fits true to size. Size up for a looser, boxier fit. To get the right size, measure one of your best fitting t-shirts and compare it with our size chart. For more help, click here.

A PAYNTER EXPERIMENT
This is not the perfect tee. To us, the perfect tee uses as littleĀ resources andĀ leavesĀ as small a trace as possible on our planet. We couldn't be more proud of this tee, but we know that mileage only counts forĀ a fraction of the T-shirt's impact.Ā Weāre taking this one step at a time. And with eachĀ Batch of tees we make, weāll iterate on our goal of a tee with theĀ smallest impact. The limited Batches will map the iterations and improvements as we learn. This is not the perfect tee.Ā But it's a continuation on our journey towards getting there.

THE SIX MILE TEE
It takes 8,700 miles to make your average tee. What ifĀ you could cut that mileage in half? After months of researching, weāve found a way to get the miles right down. We sourced organic cotton from a farm in Turkey, then from milling onwards,Ā it's spun into yarn, dyed, knitted, cut and sewn within six miles in Northern Portugal. Yup. Six miles. (It turns out that it also takes 6 miles of yarn to make one T-shirt.)
A BIG SOFTY
Made from a heavyweight 250gsm jersey, the Six Mile Tee will likely be the heaviest t-shirt in your wardrobe. When we weighed it (Huw measures everything) and compared it with other tees, it was twice as heavy. But because itās knitted with a soft 100% organic cotton yarn, itās just as soft as it is durable. Oh, and itās pre-washed to remove any shrinkage before it gets to you, so it will keep itās shape after plenty of washing.

LOVED BY MANY
Weāve made this T-Shirt once before and we spent a long time getting it just right. So when we announced that our tee was coming back, it seems we werenāt the only ones excited about it. Click here to read our customer feedback about the Six Mile Tee.
