MEN'S BATCH NO.9 - LIGHT VINTAGE WASH
£205
-
Batch No.9
Its design is inspired by the style of the cult Type ll denim jacket from the 50’s, but with the longer, slimmer fit of a more modern trucker. Made from a beautifully textured 13.5oz Japanese denim, this is one that will get even better with time and wear. With subtle details that nod to the past and new additions like hidden side entry pockets, we hope it will become a modern classic.

Light Vintage Wash
As the name suggests, our light vintage wash was inspired by the fades, character and hues of vintage denim jackets from the 50’s. This is achieved through a delicate wash and precise hand fading process, meaning no two jackets are identical.

- Fit
It fits true to size. We’ve designed it to fit slightly closer to the body to get that classic trucker jacket silhouette.
If you prefer a looser fit, or would want to wear thicker layers underneath, we recommend sizing up. If you’re unsure about sizing, check out our size guide above.
To find your best fit, compare our jacket measurements to a similar jacket you already own. Lay your jacket flat and take all measurements from the outside of the garment and compare with our size chart.
- Fabric & Care
Batch No.9 is made from a 13.5oz Japanese denim that has been woven by one of the best and most respected mills in the denim World. Their attention to detail is second none. By weaving on traditional looms the expertly skilled artisans achieve a beautiful texture in the denim which is unique to this mill and emphasises the vintage-inspired characteristics that will get even better with time.
The cotton used to weave the fabric is a high quality long staple cotton, so it’s strong, but not stiff and absorbs the indigo dye very well. All this results in a rich indigo denim and contrasting fades after many years of wear.
At 13.5oz, this jacket is just the right weight to be worn all year round, and strong enough to last a lifetime.
When the times comes to wash your jacket, we recommend hand washing, and then hang to dry. If needed, iron or steam inside out to remove creases.
- Shipping & Returns
Each jacket will be shipped in January.
Depending on where you live, your jacket will arrive within 1 - 5 days via DHL. Once your jacket is dispatched, you'll receive an email confirming the due date, and tracking details for your jacket. TWO ICONS COMBINED
When it came to designing our denim jacket, we didn’t want to make an exact replica of a vintage classic. We wanted to add to the evolution of the style by combining details from iconic jackets from the last century and adding our own details to make it a modern classic. The result is a denim jacket inspired by the style of the cult Type II denim jacket of the 50’s, with the iconic slim fit silhouette of the Type lll from the 60’s. With updated details such as hidden side entry pockets, and made with a 13.5oz Japanese denim, this is our dream denim jacket. One that looks as good as the classics, flatters more body shapes and will stay in style for decades.
P.S. If this was the last jacket we ever made as a brand, we would be very happy to have made it.

A FIRST FOR US
When we were making our first denim jacket sample, our factory told us that we must put our name on the buttons. In their words, “we’re making you the best denim jacket, going above and beyond to add all the tiny details that other factories wouldn’t do. It won’t be the cheapest, but it will be the best. So put your ******* name on it.”. And so we did.

LIMITED EDITION
As well as being individually hand numbered, each jacket comes with a limited edition label inside illustrated by a new artist each time. This label has been illustrated by Gabriella Marcella. The design has been screen printed onto a heavy paper label, that when washed has a leather-like feel.

WORK WITH THE BEST
We knew making this jacket would require a specialist denim jacket factory. On our trip to Portugal last September, we discovered the perfect partner. A small family run factory in Guimaraes with 12 highly skilled machinists who turned our ideas into reality. Since then, we’ve spoken to Mário most days. He is in charge of product development, alongside his mother who oversees production and his father on accounts as well as building their new factory on the other side of the road. Being big wasn’t their goal, being the best was. This family have worked in premium denim for over 30 years and the quality they produce is exactly what we wanted. They’re one of the only factories who could finish the jacket in the way we wanted. We’re very proud to have our jackets made by them. We’d found a man as obsessed with the details as we were, we feel very lucky to have our denim jackets made by Mario and his team.
