Details
A classic three-pocket chore jacket, made from an organic cotton French moleskin fabric, and British made corozo nut buttons. Weāve also added hidden hand warmer pockets for our latest iteration. Batch No.7 was released on May 7th and sold out in 10 minutes.
- Fit
A unisex fit thatās just the right level of boxy. It fits true to size, so if you prefer an oversized fit, we recommend sizing up. If youāre unsure about sizing, check out our Batch No.7 sizing page.
āØ- Fabric & Care
Batch No.7 is constructed using a tightly woven, mid-weight, organic cotton, moleskin fabric used on itās reverse, so the soft, brushed, suede like feel sits against the skin, and the tougher canvas weave is on the outside. We sourced the fabric from an old French mill that has been weaving moleskin for nearly 100 years. Each jacket is garment dyed to give it a worn-in look and feel. Machine washable at 30 degrees, then hang to dry. If needed, iron inside out or steam to take out creases.
- Shipping & Returns
Depending on where you live, your jacket will arrive within 1 - 5 days via DHL. Once your jacket is dispatched, you'll receive an email confirming the due date, and tracking details for your jacket. All jackets will be shipped from out studio in London.

THE PAYNTER CHORE JACKET
When it comes to iconic workwear staples, few jackets provide the timeless, functional and handsome style of the trusty chore coat. Much like blue jeans, the hardy piece of outerwear has evolved over the past century from a practical uniform worn by blue collar labourers to become an everyday staple for men and women around the world. The chore jacket certainly isnāt tied to a particular time of year either - one of the best things about it is its trans-seasonal style. HARD AS NAILS, POSH AF
Weāre very excited to be bringing back one of our favourite fabrics, but this time using organic cotton. Our tightly woven moleskin fabric is made in France, by experts who have been weaving for nearly 200 years. They made the moleskin fabric for the original chore jackets that we know and love today. Itās super tough but softens quickly with wear
VEGETABLE IVORY
Button-makingĀ in the UK is a centuries-old craft and the reputation of its makers is widespread. Our buttons are not only British Made by Courtney & Co, a fifth generation button maker, but they are made from corozo nuts that are grown and naturally harvested. Unlike plastic, our buttons are non-toxic and biodegradable.

CONSTRAINTS MAKE YOU INTERESTING
We believe constraints are creativityās best friend. Instead of complaining about them, use them to come up with different and more interesting ideas. Itās a principle weāve lived by since day one. So for Batch No.7, we commissioned motion designer Connor Campbell to design the limited edition label, so that each time you see that little red square, thereās a reminder to keep pushing on. The factory is a small family run business that has been going for the last 30 years, specialising in jackets. They have a track record for supporting the underdogs. Weāre proud to have our jackets made by them.
