Fit
The number one reason any piece of clothing becomes a favourite is because it fits like a glove. That’s why we spend so long working on it. Batch No.14 fits true to size and is just the right level of boxy. It’s a little roomier in the chest and shoulders than our slimmer unisex chore jackets so you can layer more underneath. Available in sizes XS to XXL. We recommend taking your normal size.
To find your best fit, compare our jacket measurements to an overshirt or jacket you already own. Lay your jacket flat, buttoned up and take all measurements from the outside of the garment and compare with our size chart. If you’re unsure or need any advice at all, please drop us a message and we’ll be happy to help.
Our model, George, is 5 foot 11 / 180cm, and wears a size Medium Canvas Chore Jacket. He also wears a Medium in all of our other jackets.

Fabric & Care
Batch No.14 has been constructed from a light and easy to wear 10.5oz brushed cotton canvas that has been spun, woven, cut, sewn and garment dyed in Northern Portugal. Even the labels are locally made. It’s just the right weight to be able to wear all year round (a jacket perfect for summer, or a light layer in the colder months) and tough enough to stay looking good for years to come. Each jacket will be garment dyed to give it a worn-in look and feel. To keep your jacket looking its best, machine wash at 30 degrees, then hang to dry. If needed, iron inside out or steam to take out creases.

Shipping & Returns
Each jacket will be made to order and will be shipped in April. Once your jacket is dispatched, you'll receive an email with tracking details for your jacket. We ship all over the world. And if you’re based in the EU, we will be sending your jacket directly from Portugal so that you won’t incur additional customs fees. All other jackets will be sent from the UK.
If for any reason you wanted to return your jacket, we accept returns within 28 days of delivery as long as the jacket is in perfect condition.

Pay 50/50
We’ve recently introduced a new way to pre-order a jacket. You can now split your payment into two, paying 50% (plus shipping) now to guarantee yourself a jacket, and 50% a month into your jacket being made. If you’d like to purchase a jacket with a split payment, please use the code ‘50/50’ during checkout.
We’ll follow up for the second payment around the 31st of March. Please note - If you do not complete this second payment, your jacket will not be shipped and your first payment will be refunded. If you have any more questions, please get in touch.

THE PAYNTER CHORE JACKET
When it comes to iconic workwear staples, few jackets provide the timeless, functional and handsome style of the trusty chore jacket. Much like blue jeans, this hardy piece of outerwear has evolved over the past century from a practical uniform worn by labourers to become an everyday staple for men and women around the world. The chore jacket certainly isn’t tied to a particular time of year either - one of the best things about it is its trans-seasonal style. THE CALIFORNIA OF EUROPE
Our jackets are hand made in a factory nestled away on a mountain side in Guimarães, Portugal. It’s a maker town. The factory is a small family run business that has been going for the last 30 years, specialising in jackets. They have a track record for supporting the underdogs. We’re proud to have our jackets made by them.
